  1. C1 CHECK CIRCUIT 906 (RD/OG) FOR AN OPEN
    • Disconnect: SJB C2280g.
    • Disconnect: BJB fuse 1 (80A).
    • Measure the resistance between the SJB C2280g-1, circuit 906 (RD/OG), harness side and the BJB fuse 1 cavity, circuit 906 (RD/OG), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
    • Yes  : GO to C2.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. C2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1763 (PK/BK) FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND
    • Disconnect: LH Front Door Lock Actuator C525.
    • Disconnect: SJB C2280e.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH front door lock actuator C525-1, circuit 1763 (PK/BK), harness side and the SJB C2280e-13, circuit 1763 (PK/BK), harness side; and between the LH front door lock actuator C525-1, circuit 1763 (PK/BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the LH front door lock actuator and the SJB, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the LH front door lock actuator and ground?
    • Yes  : GO to C3.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. C3 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB MODULE OPERATION
    • Disconnect all the SJB module connectors.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect all the SJB module connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present?
    • Yes  : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . PROGRAM all RKE transmitters. REFER to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING . INFORM the customer that any RKE transmitters not present need to be programmed. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
