Power Transfer Unit (PTU) Seal - RH: Installation

    CAUTION: Make sure the PTU oil seal, the PTU seal bore and the halfshaft are clean and dry. Do not apply any lubricant to the outer diameter of the PTU oil seal or leakage will occur.
    NOTE: Always install a new PTU oil seal.

  1. Using the special tool, install a new PTU oil seal.
  2. NOTE: Always install a new PTU dust seal.
  3. Install a new PTU dust seal.
  4. NOTE: For fluid leak or seep condition, install a new vent cap and filter.
  5. Install a new vent cap and filter.
  6. Install the RH halfshaft. For additional information, refer to FRONT DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .
