Window Glass - Rear Quarter, Five-Hundred, Montego: Removal

WARNING: To prevent glass splinters from entering eyes or cutting hands, wear safety glasses and heavy gloves when cutting glass from the vehicle.
  1. Remove the parcel shelf, C-pillar and D-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. NOTE: Lubricate the existing urethane adhesive with water to aid the special tool while cutting.

  3. Using the special tool, place the flat side of the knife against the rear quarter glass window. Start cutting the glass at the middle of the D-pillar, and work toward the roof.
  4. Remove the rear quarter window glass.
  5. Using a soft brush or vacuum, remove any dirt or foreign material from the pinch weld.
