Safety Belt Retractor - Front, Without Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Removal

NOTE:
Driver side shown, passenger side similar.
- Using the special tool, remove the bolt. Remove the safety belt anchor.
- Remove the driver side shoulder safety belt guide.
- Open the cover.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
- Remove the driver side door scuff plate and rear corner trim panel.
- Remove the safety belt retractor.
- Remove the bolt.
- Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
- Remove the safety belt retractor.
- Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover pin-type retainer.
- Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
- Position the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover down.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
- Remove the driver side door scuff plate.
- Remove the bolt and position the safety belt retractor to the side.
- Remove the bolt and the safety belt anchor.
- Remove the safety belt retractor.
- Remove the front driver side safety belt anchor.
- Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
- Remove the front driver side safety belt anchor.
Crew Cab passenger side
- Remove the front passenger side safety belt anchor.
- Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
- Remove the front passenger side safety belt anchor.
- Remove the driver side shoulder safety belt guide.
- Open the cover.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
- Remove the front and rear door scuff plates, the rear assist handle and the driver side B-pillar trim panel.
- Remove the safety belt retractor.
- Using the special tool, remove the bolt.
- Pivot up at the bottom and remove the safety belt retractor.
Regular cab vehicles
NOTE:
Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide cover.
