Front Safety Belt Buckle - With Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Installation

    All seats 

    NOTE: When tightening the safety belt buckle retaining nut, make sure that the seat backrest pivot bolt does not turn with the nut.
  1. Position the safety belt buckle to the seat and install the nut.
    • Route the safety belt buckle usage detection switch wire harness as noted in removal.

    Driver seat 

  2. Install the safety belt buckle usage detection switch electrical connector to the seat cushion pan.

    All seats 

  3. Install the seat on the side with the affected safety belt buckle. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
  4. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM  in the Diagnosis and Testing portion of this article.
