Front Seat - With Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Removal

NOTE:
New retaining bolts (W710721) must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. The retaining stud and nut can be reused.
NOTE:
Driver side shown, passenger side similar.
- Disconnect the usage detection switch and power seat electrical connectors located under the seat.
- Remove the front inboard retainer cover.
- Remove the front seat rear retainer cover.
- Remove the fifth foot trim cover.
- Remove the pin-type retainer.
- Lift at the rear of the cover to release cover retainer clip.
- Remove the seat.
- For the driver seat, remove and discard the four retaining bolts, then remove the nut and the seat.
- For the passenger seat, remove and discard the five bolts and remove the seat.
NOTE:
Passenger front inboard retainer cover shown, driver cover similar.
NOTE:
