Front Seat - With Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Installation

    NOTE: Make sure the bushing is press fit onto the fifth foot mounting hole.
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle. Install the retainers. Do not tighten at this time.
  2. WARNING: The seat anchor bolts and nut must be tightened in the specified order.
  3. Tighten the retainers in the following sequence:
    1. Tighten the two new front retaining bolts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
    2. Tighten the new rear retaining bolt and then the nut (driver seat) or new rear retaining bolt (passenger seat) to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
    3. Tighten the new fifth foot retaining bolt to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  4. Install the fifth foot trim cover.
  5. Connect the usage detection switch and power seat electrical connectors located under the seat.
  6. Install the seat mounting retainer covers.
  7. Check the active restraints for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
