DTC P2100: Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Motor Circuit/Open

P2100 - THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL (TAC) MOTOR CIRCUIT/OPEN

Description:  A powertrain control module (PCM) fault flag is set indicating the motor circuit is open. May require cycling the ignition.
Possible Causes: 
  • TAC motor has an open winding
  • TAC motor is damaged
  • TAC motor harness is open
  • TAC motor harness short to voltage
  • TAC motor harness circuits are short together
  • TAC motor harness connector is unplugged
Diagnostic Aids:  A TAC motor circuit PID reading may indicate a concern, if available.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST DV .
