Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Using a suitable tool such as a dentist pick, pull the tangs outward and remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver.
  4. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) again.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
