Security Override

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Mercury Milan, 2011 Lincoln MKZ, and 2011 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

To override a bounce-back condition (to overcome the resistance of ice on the window or seals for example), within 2 seconds after the window reaches the bounce-back position, pull and hold the window control switch. The window will travel up with no bounce-back or pinch protection. If the window control switch is released before the window is fully closed, the window will stop. If the ignition switch is turned to OFF or START (without delayed accessory power), the window motor will stop.
