- Drain the Motor Electronics Cooling System (MECS). For additional information, refer to MOTOR ELECTRONICS COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING in this service information.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 retainers and position the front grille aside far enough to gain access to the MECS radiator. For additional information, refer to BUMPER SYSTEM -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article.
- Remove the bolt and remove the upper MECS radiator tube from the MECS cooler.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
- Remove the radiator splash shield.
- Remove the 6 screws.
- Remove the 4 retainers.
- Compress the constant tension clamp and disconnect the MECS radiator hose from the MECS radiator.
- Remove the MECS radiator bolts and remove the radiator.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
