Selector Lever Knob: Removal

Vehicles equipped with a 2.5L or 3.0L (4V) engine 

  1. Remove the selector lever trim ring.

  2. Remove the center console trim panel.

  3. Disconnect the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) or select switch electrical connector.

    All vehicles 

  4. NOTE: TCS shown in the illustration, select switch similar.

  5. Slide the selector lever knob bezel downward to gain access to the 2 selector lever knob screws.
  6. NOTE: It is necessary to route the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) harness or select switch harness out of the selector lever bezel when removing the selector lever knob.
  7. Remove the 2 screws from the selector lever knob. Remove the selector lever knob and selector lever knob bezel.
