Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING in this service information.
- Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE MECHANICAL - 2.5L -- FUSION & MILAN (EXCEPT HYBRID) article.
- Disconnect and remove the coolant bypass tube from the engine.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
