Pinpoint Test H: The Odometer Is Inoperative

H1 CHECK FOR CORRUPTED NVM
- Ignition ON.
- Observe the message center display area.
- Does the odometer display ERROR?
- Yes : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : GO to H2.
H2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM AND TCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded PCM and TCM DTCs from the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : DIAGNOSE all PCM and TCM DTCs first. REFER to INTRODUCTION -- GASOLINE MODELS and INTRODUCTION -- FUSION HYBRID, MILAN HYBRID & MKZ HYBRID article.
- No : GO to H3.
H3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded DTCs from the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : For DTC U0100:00 (non-hybrid), GO to PINPOINT TEST BF .
  For DTC U0101:00 (hybrid), GO to PINPOINT TEST BG . For DTC U0401:68 (non-hybrid) or U0402:68 (hybrid), RETRIEVE and REPAIR all non-network DTCs in the PCM and other modules on the network. REFER to the INTRODUCTION -- GASOLINE MODELS and INTRODUCTION -- FUSION HYBRID, MILAN HYBRID & MKZ HYBRID article and MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article for a list of all DTCs. For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC TABLES in this service information.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
