Bumper Cover - Rear: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
- Remove the 2 rear bumper cover screws (1 each side).
- Remove the 2 pin-type retainers (1 each side).
- Remove the 2 rear bumper cover lower screws.
- Remove the 4 pin-type retainers and the luggage compartment rear trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the push-on retainers and position the LH luggage compartment trim panel aside.
- Remove the 3 rear bumper cover nuts from the LH side rear panel.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Remove the spare wheel trim cover and the spare wheel.
- Remove the 2 rear bumper cover nuts from the RH side rear panel.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- If equipped, remove the THX audio amplifier. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article.
- Remove the 4 rear bumper cover nuts (2 each side).
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Position the sides of the rear bumper cover outwards and remove the rear bumper cover.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
