Removal and Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the instrument panel center finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .

    3. Vehicles with trailer brakes 

  3. Using a suitable tool, press the retaining tab at the top and remove the trailer brake controller module.
    1. Press the retaining tab.
    2. Remove the trailer brake controller module.

    4. Vehicles without trailer brakes 

  4. Using a suitable tool, press the 4 retaining tabs and remove the storage bin.
    1. Press the 4 retaining tabs.
    2. Remove the storage bin.

    5. All vehicles 

  5. Using a suitable tool, press the 4 retaining tabs and remove the upfitter switch.
    1. Press the 4 retaining tabs.
    2. Remove the upfitter switch.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
