Removal & Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION article.
  3. Remove the bolt and position the PCM aside.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Release the wiring harness locator from the fender splash shield.
  5. Release the front ABS sensor wiring harness locator.
  6. Remove the air cleaner housing insulator.
  7. Remove the upper fender splash shield bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  8. Remove the air compressor bracket nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  9. Disconnect the air compressor electrical connector.
  10. Release the air pressure hose locator.
  11. Disconnect the pin-type retainer and position the air compressor air intake aside.
  12. Remove the 2 inner bolts, the pin-type retainer, and the fender splash shield.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
