Seat - Front: Removal

WARNING: Never probe the electrical connectors on safety belt buckle/retractor pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors. Failure to follow this instruction may result in the accidental deployment of the safety belt pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors, which increases the risk of serious personal injury or death.
WARNING: Never probe the electrical connectors on air bag, safety canopy or side air curtain modules. Failure to follow this instruction may result in the accidental deployment of these modules, which increases the risk of serious personal injury or death.
NOTE: Driver shown in illustration, passenger similar.
  1. Position the seat for access to all mounting fasteners and depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). For additional information, refer to GENERAL PROCEDURES article.
  2. Remove the 2 rear seat track-to-floor nut covers.
  3. Remove the 2 rear seat track-to-floor nuts.
    • The center safety belt buckle anchor can be separated from the seat track once the seat is removed.
  4. Remove the 2 front seat track-to-floor bolt covers.
  5. Remove the 2 front seat track-to-floor bolts.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    NOTE: Use care when handling the seat. Dropping or sitting on a seat not secured in the vehicle may result in damaged components.
  8. Remove the seat.
