- Visually inspect the following mechanical and electrical components:VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical Electrical - Parking brake cables
- Parking brake control
- Parking brake control release handle
- Parking brake shoes and hardware
- Vacuum actuator and lever
- Vacuum hoses
- Vacuum switch
- Transmission selector lever
- Parking brake switch
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
- If the cause is not visually evident, verify the symptom and Go to Symptom Chart .
