Removal and Installation

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the driver and front passenger seats. For additional information, refer to SEAT -- FRONT .
  2. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to CONSOLE -- FLOOR .
  3. Remove the front door scuff plate trim panels and the lower A-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    Vehicles with automatic transmission 

  4. Detach the selector lever cable from the gearshift assembly.
    1. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the gearshift lever.
    2. Remove the selector lever cable from the bracket.

      All vehicles 

  5. NOTE: Position the carpet to gain access to the floor ducts.
  6. Separate the wiring harness from the LH floor duct and position aside.
  7. Remove the LH floor duct.
  8. Remove the RH floor duct pin-type retainer.
  9. Remove the RH floor duct.
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
