Pinpoint Test E: DTC B1303:11

NOTE:
Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
- E1 CHECK FOR RECORDED DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND PAM SELF-TESTS
- Check for recorded PAM DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
- Is DTC B1303:11 recorded?
- Yes: GO to E2 .
- No: REFER to DTC CHARTS .
- E2 CHECK THE ACTIVE PARK SWITCH FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Disconnect: Active Park Assist Switch C2035.
- Clear the DTC and repeat the PAM self-test.
- Is DTC B1303:11 recorded?
- Yes: GO to E3 .
- No: INSTALL a new active park assist switch. REFER to ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SWITCH . CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
- E3 CHECK THE ACTIVE PARK SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Disconnect: PAM C4014.
- Measure the resistance between the active park assist switch C2035-6, circuit CMP18 (GN/BN), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
- Yes: GO to E4 .
- No: REPAIR circuit CMP18 (GN/BN). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
- E4 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION
- Connect: Active Park Assist Switch C2035.
- Disconnect the PAM connector.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- damaged pins
- pushed-out pins
- Connect the PAM connector and make sure it seats correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- Yes: INSTALL a new PAM . REFER to PARKING AID MODULE (PAM) . CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
