Pinpoint Test E: DTC B1303:11

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. E1 CHECK FOR RECORDED DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND PAM SELF-TESTS 
    • Check for recorded PAM  DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Is DTC B1303:11 recorded? 
    • Yes:  GO to E2  .
    • No:  REFER to DTC CHARTS .
  2. E2 CHECK THE ACTIVE PARK SWITCH FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT 
    • Disconnect: Active Park Assist Switch C2035.
    • Clear the DTC and repeat the PAM  self-test.
    • Is DTC B1303:11 recorded? 
    • Yes:  GO to E3  .
    • No:  INSTALL a new active park assist switch. REFER to ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SWITCH . CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. E3 CHECK THE ACTIVE PARK SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Disconnect: PAM  C4014.
    • Measure the resistance between the active park assist switch C2035-6, circuit CMP18 (GN/BN), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 
    • Yes:  GO to E4  .
    • No:  REPAIR circuit CMP18 (GN/BN). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. E4 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION 
    • Connect: Active Park Assist Switch C2035.
    • Disconnect the PAM  connector.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • damaged pins
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect the PAM  connector and make sure it seats correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    • Yes:  INSTALL a new PAM  . REFER to PARKING AID MODULE (PAM) . CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
