The active park assist system consists of the following:

The active park assist system is a supplementary park aid that assists the operator in detecting an available parallel parking space and automatically steers the vehicle into the space while the operator controls the accelerator, gearshift and brakes.

The system visually and/or audibly instructs the operator to park the vehicle through the messages in the IC  message center and/or warning chimes. The parking aid system is utilized for detecting the space to the rear of the vehicle when backing up.
