Catalytic Converter - 3.0L LH Manifold: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the 6 retainers and the passenger side splash shield.
- Remove the LH Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S). For additional information, refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) .
- Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise and remove the accessory drive belt.
- Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
- Remove the 3 bolts and position the A/C compressor aside.
- Remove the 3 bolts and the LH catalytic converter heat shield.
- Remove exhaust Y-pipe. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST Y-PIPE - 3.0L .
- Remove and discard the 6 LH catalytic converter manifold nuts.
- Remove the LH catalytic converter manifold from the vehicle.
- Discard the gasket.
- Remove and discard the 6 LH catalytic converter manifold studs.
- Clean and inspect the LH catalytic converter manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
