Differential Seals - LH: Installation

- Using the Differential Seal RH and LH Installer (two sided tool eCVT) and Handle, install the LH differential seal.
- Install the LH halfshaft. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Clean the drain plug threads and apply a small amount of thread sealant on the threads, install the drain plug.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the fill plug on the side of the transaxle.
- Fill the transaxle with clean transmission fluid as specified until the level reaches the bottom of the fill plug hole.
- Install the fill plug.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Start the engine and check for correct forward and reverse operation.
NOTE:
Clean the area around the fill plug removing transmission fluid that may have spilled on the transaxle case.
NOTE:
The check and fill plug is located on the left side of the transaxle near the front.
NOTE:
The transmission fluid is checked and filled by removing the fill plug and adding transmission fluid to the bottom of the fill plug hole.
