Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING -- ESCAPE, ESCAPE HYBRID, MARINER & MARINER HYBRID .
- Remove the engine coolant degas bottle. For additional information, refer to DEGAS BOTTLE .
- Remove the DC/DC converter. For additional information, refer to DIRECT CURRENT/DIRECT CURRENT (DC/DC) CONVERTER .
- Install the Engine Support Bar.
- Remove the engine mount bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).
- Use the Engine Support Bar to raise the engine 25 mm (0.98 in).
- Remove the 3 nuts and the engine mount bracket.
- To install, tighten to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).
- Remove the A/C tube bracket nut.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Rotate the A/C tube brackets off of the studs.
- Reposition the A/C tubes to access the engine mount bolt.
- Remove the 3 bolts and the engine mount.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
