Removal and Installation

  1. Release the clamp and disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube from the PCV valve.
  2. Rotate counterclockwise and remove the PCV valve from the valve cover.
    NOTE: A new Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve must be installed if removed from the valve cover. Damage will occur to the locking mechanism on the PCV valve.
    NOTE: To install, apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seal.
    • Discard the PCV valve.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new PCV valve.
