Driveability Concerns

NOTE: The pressure switches listed in this routine will not be applicable to all vehicle applications. Some vehicles will not have the pressure switches installed in the valve body.
DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINES - DRIVEABILITY CONCERNS

Possible Component Reference/Action
256 - ROUTINE 
Powertrain Control System   
  • PCM, vehicle wiring harnesses, transmission internal harness, transmission pressure control solenoids SSPCx, TCC solenoid, transmission pressure control switches PSx, (if equipped) OSS, TFT sensors, transmission control tow/haul switch, APP, IAT, ECT sensors
 
Torque Converter   
  • Torque internal components damaged
  • Remove the transmission. Inspect for damage. Refer to TORQUE CONVERTER  in the General Procedures portion of this article. If the torque converter fails to pass the criteria for replacement or is damaged, install a new or remanufactured torque converter.
  • Incorrect torque converter used in overhaul
  • Inspect for correct torque converter assembly. If not correct, install a new or remanufactured torque converter.
