Special Operating Conditions

If your vehicle is operated in any of the following manners, you will need to carry-out some maintenance operations more frequently:
- extensive idling and/or low-speed driving for long distances as in heavy commercial use such as delivery, taxi, patrol or livery.
- operating in dusty conditions such as unpaved or dusty roads.
If any of the above conditions apply to your vehicle operation, you will need to carry-out the following maintenance operations in addition to the operations listed in the maintenance schedule.
Extensive idling and/or low-speed driving for long distances as in heavy commercial use such as delivery, taxi, patrol vehicle or livery. This operating condition is for extensive maximum A/C or heater operation with the engine on in the above listed usage:
- Change the engine oil and install a new oil filter every 8,000 km (5,000 mi), 6 months or 200 hours of engine operation, whichever occurs first.
- Rotate tires, inspect tires for wear, measure tread depth, inspect wheel ends for play and noise every 8,000 km (5,000 mi).
- Install new spark plugs every 96,000 km (60,000 mi).
- Install a new cabin air filter (if equipped) as required.
Operating in dusty conditions such as unpaved or dusty roads:
- Change the engine oil and install a new oil filter every 8,000 km (5,000 mi), 6 months or 200 hours of engine operation, whichever occurs first.
- Rotate tires, inspect tires for wear, measure tread depth, inspect wheel ends for play and noise every 8,000 km (5,000 mi).
- Install a new cabin air filter (if equipped) as required.
