Pinpoint Test F: The Traction Control Or Parking Aid Disable Switch Illumination Is Inoperative

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

F1 CHECK CIRCUIT 19 (LB/RD) FOR AN OPEN

Key in OFF position.
Disconnect: Inoperative Illuminated Component
Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position and rotate the headlamp switch knob fully counterclockwise without turning on the interior lamps.

Measure the voltage between the inoperative illuminated component, harness side and ground as follows:

Component	Connector-Pin	Circuit
Parking aid disable switch	C2035-3	19 (LB/RD)
Traction control switch	C280-3	19 (LB/RD)

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

YES : Go to F2.
NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

F2 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN

Measure the resistance between the inoperative illuminated component, harness side and ground as follows:

Parking aid disable switch	C2035-2	57 (BK)
Traction control switch	C280-2	57 (BK)

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

YES : INSTALL a new parking aid disable or traction control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
