The battery junction box (BJB) provides the ignition switch with fused battery power through BJB fuse 7 (60A) along circuit 1050 (LG/VT). The ignition switch then provides power to the central junction box (CJB) through several different circuits depending on the ignition switch position. The ignition switch has 4 possible positions:
- OFF - No power on any circuit
- ACC - Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to CJB
- RUN - Power on circuit 687 (GY/YE) to CJB
- Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to CJB
- Power on circuit 1499 (PK/LG) to CJB
- START - Power on circuit 33 (WH/PK) to CJB
- Power on circuit 1499 (PK/LG) to CJB
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Fusible link(s)
- Fuse
- Ignition switch
