Pinpoint Test AO: The Roll Stability Control (RSC) Warning Chime Is Inoperative

- AO1 CHECK THE RSC WARNING CHIME NOTE: The RSC warning chime operation can be verified only when the traction control/stability control warning indicator is on or the SERVICE RSC NOW message is displayed in the integrated circuit display (odometer).
- Fasten the driver safety belt.
- Key in ON position.
- Does the chime sound for 30 seconds after the key was turned to the ON position?
- YES : The system operates correctly at this time.
- NO : Go to AO2.
- AO2 VERIFY THE KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Key in OFF position.
- Open the driver door with the key in the ignition lock cylinder.
- Does the key-in-ignition warning chime sound?
- YES : Go to AO3.
- NO : Go to Pinpoint Test AM .
- AO3 CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) OPERATION
- Disconnect all the instrument cluster (IC) connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- damaged pins
- pushed out pins
- Connect all the instrument cluster (IC) connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- YES : INSTALL a new instrument cluster (IC). REFER to Instrument Cluster (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- NO : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
