Removal And Installation

All doors 

1. If equipped, remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
2. If equipped, position the watershield aside.
3. Remove the 2 nuts, the interior door handle, and bezel.
NOTE: Use the special tool to install the door lock actuator rivet.
4. If equipped, remove the door lock actuator rivet.

Side door 

5. Disconnect the door lock cylinder actuating rod.
6. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod.

Side Door With E-Guard Cargo Protection 

NOTE: View of the door lock cylinder cover is from the bottom.
7. Release the 2 tabs on the door lock cylinder cover and slide it off the door lock cylinder.

8. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating cable.

Rear door 

9. Remove the 4 license plate housing screws.
10. Position the housing away from the door.
11. Disconnect the door latch cable and the door lock cylinder actuating rod.

Rear door with E-Guard Cargo Protection System 

12. Remove the 4 license plate housing screws.
13. Position the housing away from the door.
14. Disconnect the door latch cable.
NOTE: View of the door lock cylinder cover is from the bottom.
15. Release the 2 tabs on the door lock cylinder cover and slide it off the door lock cylinder.

All doors 

16. Remove the door latch remote control screw.
17. Remove the 3 door latch screws.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
18. Remove the door latch assembly.
    • If equipped, disconnect the door lock actuator electrical connector.
19. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
