Rear Suspension

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Ford RV Cutaway, 2008 Ford Econoline, 2008 Ford E450 Super Duty, and 2008 Ford Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The front suspension consists of the following components:

The rear suspension system utilizes a solid driving axle supported by shock absorbers and semi-elliptic, leaf-type rear springs. A side-to-side lean at the rear of the vehicle can be adjusted approximately 10 mm (3/8 in) by installing a shim between the rear spring and the rear axle on the low side of the vehicle. A "low at the rear" vehicle can be raised approximately 10 mm (3/8 in) by installing a shim on each side of the vehicle.
