Wheel and Tire - Dual Rear Wheel (DRW): Removal

WARNING:
Never use wheels different than the original equipment. Additionally, never use wheel nuts different than the original equipment. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the wheel or mounting system. This damage could cause the wheel to come off while the vehicle is being driven, which could result in serious personal injury or death to vehicle occupant(s).
- If equipped, remove the wheel cover.
- With the weight of the vehicle still on the tires, loosen the wheel nuts.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the wheel nuts.
- Remove the outer and inner wheel and tire assemblies.
CAUTION:
Do not use heat to loosen a seized wheel nut. Heat can damage the wheel and wheel bearings.
NOTE:
Do not remove the wheel nuts at this time.
