Removal And Installation

- Remove the rear brake disc. For additional information, refer to REAR DISC BRAKE article.
- Remove the parking brake shoe upper return spring.
- Remove the 2 parking brake shoe retaining pins.
- Remove the 2 parking brake shoe retaining springs.
- Remove the parking brake shoe lower return spring.
- Remove the parking brake shoe adjuster.
- Remove the parking brake shoes.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Using anti-seize lubricant, lubricate the parking brake shoe contact points before installation of the rear parking brake shoes.
- Lubricate the adjust screw threads with anti-seize lubricant.
- Adjust the parking brake shoe and lining. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Shoe Adjustment .
- Check the parking brake for normal operation.
