Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Mercury Mariner and 2007 Ford Escape. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The turn signal left on chime sounds when the vehicle travels more than 3.2 km (2 miles) with the turn signal on. The smart junction box (SJB) communicates the turn signal switch status to the instrument cluster. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) module (Escape, Mariner) or the traction control module (TCM) (Hybrid) communicates the odometer count data to the instrument cluster.
