Disabling System (Excursion & F250/350 Super Duty)

  1. Record preset radio frequencies for reprogramming, if equipped. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy.
  2. Remove driver air bag module. See DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE . Connect appropriate air bag simulator to clockspring connector at top of steering column, in place of air bag. See AIR BAG SIMULATOR .
  3. Open glove box. Push in on 2 side tabs and rotate glove box down. Disconnect passenger air bag module connector. Connect appropriate air bag simulator to passenger air bag vehicle harness connector, in place of air bag. Connect negative battery cable.
