Test Q: Turn Signal/Hazard Indicator Never/Always On

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Operate left and right turn signals. If both turn signals operate, go to next step. If both turn signals do not operate, repair turn signals as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C250 for right turn signal or C251 for left turn signal. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Place multifunction switch in appropriate position. Measure voltage at terminal No. 3 (White/Light Blue wire for left turn signal; Light Green/White for right turn signal) at appropriate instrument cluster harness connector. See Figure or Figure . Voltage should pulse between zero and battery voltage. If voltage is as specified, replace bulb or instrument cluster as necessary. If voltage is not as specified, repair open or short in appropriate wire.
