Trouble Shooting
Verify customer concern by operating vehicle to reproduce condition. Observe indicators, warning displays and gauges to determine if they are operating correctly. This needs to be done with ignition switch in ON position with engine off, RUN position before ignition switch is released, and ON position with engine running. Visually inspect the following items for obvious signs of damage:
- Damaged Fuel Tank
- Damaged Parking Brake Position Switch
- Loose Or Damaged Accessory Drive Belt
- Low Brake Fluid Level
- Low Engine Coolant Level
- Low Engine Oil Level
- Battery Junction Box Fuse No. 28 (10-amp)
- Central Junction Box Fuse No. 50 (7.5-amp)
- Central Junction Box Fuse No. 59 (7.5-amp)
- Damaged Circuitry
- Damaged Switches Or Sensors
- Damaged Bulbs
- Damaged Connectors
- Damaged Instrument Cluster
If inspection reveals obvious faults, repair as required. If cause of fault is not visually evident, proceed to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
