Test C2: DTC C1145, C1155, C1165 & C1175 - Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) Input Circuit Failure (Abs With TCS)
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCS connector (C830). Disconnect suspect wheel speed sensor. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage of suspect WSS circuits between TCS connector terminal and ground. See TCS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If voltage is present, repair faulty circuit. If voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance of suspect WSS circuits between TCS terminal and ground. See TCS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair faulty circuit.
- Measure resistance of suspect WSS circuit between WSS terminals and TCS connector terminals. See TCS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair faulty circuit.
- Reconnect TCS connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between suspect WSS terminals on harness side. See TCS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If voltage is greater than 9 volts, replace TCS module. If voltage is less than 9 volts, replace WSS.
