Test C1: DTC C1145, C1155, C1165 & C1175 - Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) Input Circuit Failure (Abs)
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABCM connector (C385). Disconnect suspect wheel speed sensor. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage of suspect WSS circuits between ABCM terminal and ground. See ABCM WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If voltage is present, repair faulty circuit. If voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance of suspect WSS circuits between ABCM terminal and ground. See ABCM WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair faulty circuit.
- Measure resistance between harness side of suspect WSS terminals. See ABCM WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINAL NOS. table. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair faulty circuit.
- Measure resistance of suspect WSS circuit between WSS terminals and ABCM connector terminals. See ABCM WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair faulty circuit.
- Reconnect ABCM connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between suspect WSS terminals on harness side. See ABCM WHEEL SPEED SENSOR TERMINALS NO. table. If voltage is greater than 9 volts, replace WSS. If voltage is less than 9 volts, replace ABCM.
