Front Brake Caliper & Pads: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels. Detach brake hose from support bracket. Loosen brake hose. Using 2 screwdrivers, pry loose outer brake pad retaining clip. See Fig 1.

  2. Remove bolt covers. Remove caliper bolts. Pull caliper outward to release piston. Support caliper.
  3. Lift outer pad retaining clip over spring retaining lugs. Remove outer brake pad. Remove inner brake pad.
