Removal & Installation (Focus)
- Remove accessory drive belt. Raise and support vehicle. Insert Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect (T90T-9550-C) into hose quick-release coupling. Move tool along pipe to release locking tangs. Allow fluid to drain into a suitable container. Using Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover (T69L-10300-8), remove pump pulley. Lower vehicle.
- Detach pressure hose line support bracket. Remove bolts. Detach speed control cable, if equipped. Disconnect power steering pressure switch electrical connector. Depress locking tang. Disconnect fluid supply hose and allow fluid to drain into a suitable container. Disconnect pressure line union from power steering pump and allow fluid to drain into a suitable container. Remove bolts and power steering pump. Remove PSP switch. To install, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed hydraulic system. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
