Test N: Right-Side Air Bag Circuit Short To Battery (DTC B1996): Description

RCM checks right-side air bag module circuit for shorts to battery by monitoring connector C423, terminals No. 23 (Green/Red wire) and No. 24 (Black/Orange wire). If RCM detects a short to battery, it will store DTC B1996 in memory and flash Code 6 on AIR BAG warning light.
