Test Q: Ck SUSP Indicator Inoperative Or Always On

NOTE: After repair, clear DTCs and repeat self-test.
  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If CK SUSP indicator is always on, repair as necessary. See appropriate ELECTRONIC - REAR AIR SUSPENSION, or ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION, article in SUSPENSION. If CK SUSP indicator does not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect air suspension control module 13-pin connector. Connect 5-amp fused jumper wire between air suspension control module 13-pin connector Dark Green/Light Green wire terminal and ground. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If CK SUSP indicator illuminates, go to step  4. If CK SUSP indicator does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect instrument cluster 20-pin connector. Measure resistance of Dark Green/Light Green wire between air suspension control module connector C296 terminal No. 12 and instrument cluster 20-pin connector terminal No. 5. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step  5. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Dark Green/Light Green wire.
  4. Disconnect all GEM/CTM connectors. Inspect connectors for corrosion and pushed out pins. Connect all GEM/CTM connectors, ensuring they are connected correctly. Operate system and verify if concern is still present. If concern is still present, replace GEM/CTM. See GENERIC ELECTRONIC MODULE/CENTRAL TIMER MODULE (GEM/CTM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If concern is not present, system is operating correctly at this time. Clear DTCs and repeat self-test.
  5. Disconnect all instrument cluster connectors. Inspect connectors for corrosion and pushed out pins. Connect all instrument cluster connectors, ensuring they are connected correctly. Operate system and verify if concern is still present. If concern is still present, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If concern is not present, system is operating correctly at this time. Clear DTCs and repeat self-test.
