Analog instrument cluster is equipped with speedometer, fuel, oil pressure, temperature and voltage gauges. Some models are equipped with tachometer. Instrument cluster is Hybrid Electronic Cluster (HEC) with self-diagnostic capability. All Expeditions and Navigators are equipped with Generic Electronic Module (GEM). F150 and F250 with 4-wheel drive and/or power windows are equipped with GEM. F150 and F250 2-wheel drive pickups without power windows are equipped with Central Timer Module (CTM). GEM and CTM have self-diagnostic capabilities.

Speedometer, odometer, engine coolant temperature, SERVICE ENGINE SOON indicator and LOW RANGE indicator input signals are sent from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to instrument cluster over Standard Corporate Protocol (SCP) communication network buses. SERVICE ENGINE SOON indicator will illuminate when PCM has set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). FUEL RESET indicator will illuminate when inertia switch has been tripped.
