7.5" & 8.8" Differential Case & Ring Gear

  1. Remove differential case. Remove ring gear bolts. Insert a punch in bolt holes, and drive ring gear off. Remove speed sensor ring, if damaged. Remove differential bearings. Remove and discard differential shaft lock bolt and differential pinion shaft.
  2. Remove differential clutch spring. Remove differential gears. Remove differential clutch packs and differential side gears, and tag them LEFT and RIGHT with shim. Ensure differential clutch packs are in order.
