Key-On-Engine-Running (KOER) Self-Test

Ensure engine is at normal operating temperature. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program NGS tester using the following steps:

• Select vehicle and engine selection menu.
• Select year, engine, model and any additional information requested by scan tool.
• Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
• Select PCM - POWERTRAIN CTRL MODULE.
• Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE.
• Select KOER ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST.
• Start engine and allow to idle.
• Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
• Perform BPP switch and TCS cycling (if equipped).
