Test B: System Overcharges

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect generator 3-pin electrical connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage drop of Orange/Light Blue wire between generator terminal "A" and battery positive terminal. If voltage drop is less than .5 volt, go to next step. If voltage drop is greater than .5 volt, repair high resistance in Orange/Light Blue wire between generator and Gray fusible link "C".
  2. Inspect generator and regulator grounds (mounting surfaces and fasteners). Inspect battery ground. Repair as necessary and retest system operation. If all grounds are okay, replace voltage regulator. See VOLTAGE REGULATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
