Evaporative Emissions System Leak Test

  1. Connect Evaporative Emissions System Leak Tester (134-00056) or equivalent to test port. Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Select OUTPUT TEST MODE, FTP and VPID. Select ALL OFF mode. Press START button on scan tool to close canister vent solenoid.
  2. Pressurize system to 3.48 kPa (14 In. H2O). Repair leaks as necessary. Repeat test until system holds 2 kPa (8 In. H2O) for 2 minutes.
